Windows cannot start the windows internet connection sharing service

Please confirm User Account Control pop- up. I set up the automatic updates accordingly then tried to open the firewall settings via control panel and it worked.

Good luck. I have the same error message re the firewall service as noted at the start of this tread but I have tried all of the suggestions and none of them will allow me to turn on the firewall.

What is strange is that if I reboot then the service will be on for awhile but then something turns if off and then I can't turn it back on with the controll panel or the manage, services, start sequence.
