Check temperature windows xp
My guess is that your MB doesn't have the sensor chip, since multiple programs can't find it. That was beginning to be my guess. I guess that means I am stuck. Was wondering because I ran a pc pitstop and got a red flag I haven't had before. If I remember it right it was low disk performance under cached speed which said is usualy not the disk but cpu or memory.
I then shut computer off over night which is usualy on and the flag was gone which made me think it was heat related. I am going to open my computer up and clean it and the fans out which I try to do regularly because I have a dusty house on a gravel road. Perhaps the thought of another or better fan. Have you visited the homepage of the MB manufacturer to see what they say? Since you didn't specify any system details, it's hard to know what you have Thanks for reply johnwilI went to intel and looked up my intel board model dpt and found a download thats supposed to work to detect temps called intel active monitor.
I got an error no sensors were detected in your system. I then read more and under errors for this one found. Issue was discovered between intel active monitor and intel ata storage drivers when using creative labs sb live audio card. Which I have. Then this solution. Uninstalled intel monitor and installed accelerator and reinstalled intel monitor and same thing. Doesn't find fans voltage or temps. So I don't know. Could I not have any sensors. Would that be unusual.
I will poke around more at intel. Ok I did list the board. Also this is xp home. Ok think I will go have a beer before I go crazy and check back lol. As Seen On. Welcome to Tech Support Guy!
