Mcleods pumpkin patch
Pick-your-own pumpkin season can be ruined if the weather is poor on the weekends when people usually come out to the farm. The McLeods have to worry about mud, liability insurance and an early frost. Murray starts in early April with the strawberries and the work never seems to stop, he said. The corn maze alone took three weeks of extra work to get ready for the public.
Generations in families have picked pumpkins at the farm. The McLeods will welcome the public back for strawberries next year but grow soybeans instead of pumpkins. The farm keeps customers up to date on the pumpkin picking on its McLeod Farms Facebook page. A welcome email is on its way. If you don't see it, please check your junk folder.
